Sindicato dos Metalúrgicos de Ouro Branco reúne forças para pôr fim ao perigo à saúde dos trabalhadores de nossa região


Em menos de um ano, chegamos ao absurdo de termos inumeráves acidentes com trabalhadores feridos e 9 mortes na planta da Gerdau em Ouro Branco.
Habitualmente, em nossos Boletins Informativos “O Tarugo”, alertamos aos gestores da empresa sobre os riscos que os trabalhadores vêm correndo em seus locais de trabalho.
Pouco, ou nada, se fez!
Os trabalhadores labutam sem segurança, utilizando equipamentos obsoletos e sem manutenção preventiva, sob pressão, desestimulados e com medo de não voltar para casa.
Mostramos ao RH da Gerdau Ouro Branco que fatos como este não podem, em hipótese alguma, continuar acontecendo, principalmente em uma planta onde, segundo a gestão da empresa, se diz priorizar a segurança e a saúde dos trabalhadores.
Os incontáveis acidentes com os trabalhadores na planta da Gerdau em Ouro Branco revelam os riscos que os trabalhadores, independentes do setor produtivo, vêm enfrentando em seus locais de trabalho, condições essas que vão agravar, e muito, com a implantação das nefastas mudanças e ou retiradas de direitos trabalhistas.
Diante de toda essa situação, o nosso Sindicato se reuniu com órgãos competentes para, juntos, estancarmos acidentes na Gerdau e em nossa região.
Foram realizadas reuniões com representantes da Secretaria Municipal de Saúde de Ouro Branco, Meio Ambiente, Vigilância Epidemiológica e Vigilância Sanitária, com a participação da Secretaria de Estado de Saúde de Minas Gerais, Diretoria de Saúde do Trabalhador/CEREST Estadual de Minas Gerais, o Fórum Sindical e Popular de Saúde e Segurança dos Trabalhadores e Trabalhadoras de MG, CIST Estadual, Ministério do Trabalho, Ministério Público do Trabalho, Fundacentro, além de ter sido realizada uma audiência pública.
Estamos aguardando o relatório final dos Auditores Fiscais do Ministério Público do Trabalho para, também juntos, tomarmos as decisões cabíveis para o enfrentamento do problema na Gerdau.
Estamos, também, monitorando os trabalhadores envolvidos nos acidentes, certos de que inalaram fumaça tóxica provenientes do gás de Coqueria, que contém BENZENO, decerto que, relativamente a isso, constando no Acordo Nacional do Benzeno, a Empresa é responsável por realizar o monitoração dos trabalhadores envolvidos, rastreando, medindo e/ou analisando os resultados.
